judging by the question, you haven't drunk a lot and must be extremely young. thats great, not judging but you won't be able to afford champagne and will most probably settle for cheap $5 sparkling ****.
Just check the alcohol content, most seem to be around 12% but some proseccos and cheaper styles will be 9% or less.
Raid the olds liquor cabinet or buy the cheap stuff and put a shot of vodka in each glass.

Depends on the person, their tolerance for alcohol and build, but generally yes, champagne is just wine, it takes about 4 glasses of wine to be legally drunk
