This idea that your body stops growing at 21 is absurd, I can only assume thats made up by the american government to keep you all in check!

As long as you're not 14 or something!. In the UK (where im from), france and canada it is pretty much the norm for kids to start drinking at around 16, and the vast majority turn out just as well as if they would have abstained until they were 21!. Just because you drink before 21 doesn't mean you'll be damaged in anyway, unless you push your luck!.

Governments feel that at 21 you are mature enough to drink alcohol and know when enough is enough!. Most underage vehicular accidents happen when young people under the age of 21!. This is why proponents such as MADD (Mothers against Drunk Driving) encourage abstaining from alcohol until the legal age limit for your state!. There is evidence that shows that some underage drinkers don't know when to stop and may binge or poison themselves unknowingly by alcohol!. There are countries such as France where children are introduced to wine at a young age and where it used to be, there weren't many drunks as adults or dui accidents because they were trained young!. (sry for run on sentence and this fragment!.) They are now starting to catch up with us though!. I would recommend going to an AA meeting or meeting with an AA counselor to find out what age did most of the people that come for recovery started drinking!. This will help you greatly!. The brain doesn't stop developing and growing until your mid-20's!. During the teenage years it is especially susceptible to the damaging effects of alcohol and drugs!.

I did it and so did a lot of people I know!. Ok so it's illegal but it's a slap on the wrist and that's only if you get caught by a strict cop!. I never did!. The thing is you are more prone to get addicted to it the younger you start and your liver isn't fully developed so that could be an issue if you are drinking heavily!. Drinking used to be legal at 18 the government just didn't want to deal with the liability!. It's not that big of a deal as long as you are in a safe environment and you don't become a lush!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My mom died in her early fourties from alcoholism! Alcohol destroys ur liver and kidneys(these organs flush out toxins and filter out any bad stuff in ur body) Look up effects of alcoholism on body and u will learn more!. Not to mention, alcohol dehydrates you, aka:ur SKIN! U can look worn-out, ashy, dull, pale!.!.!.!.!.PLUS, most kids who drink get behind the wheel and cause fatal accidents!. My mom was (oddly enough), hit by a drunk driver when she was standing by a metal fence!. She was trying to get a horse unstuck from the fence when the truck ran into her and she had staples all the way up from her ankle to her thigh to close the wound!. She also caused accidents herself when she was driving drunk with her kids (me and my bro)in the back seat!. She was arrested many times in front of us and I've been scarred from my childhood b/c of it!.

That's only a rule in the U!.S!.!.!.!.!. italy you can purchase alcohol if you are 6!. Well, the number 21 is probably somewhat arbitrary, but the principle is: drinking too much causes risky behavior, so make people wait until they're old enough to understand the consequences!.

It's not only bad as far as your body and mind are concerned but it's illegal but it seems that is one of the appeals to it as teenagers + young adults often rebel against authority
