Why are my cigarettes tasting weird all of the sudden?!
DON'T ANSWER IF YOU'RE GOING TO PREACH TO ME!. I KNOW THE HEALTH HAZARDS, PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY HAVE DIED FROM CANCER TOO, AND I'M NOT GOING TO STOP SO DON'T GO THERE!
Okay, sorry about that!. Anyway, I've been smoking for a while now, but for the passed week and a half my cigarettes have tasted really weird!. They leave a nasty taste in the back of my throat!. I was sick last week with a hangover, but I feel better now!. Is the taste from where I was ill!? When will it go away!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
what brand!?
i've noticed over the years that cigarettes (along with other processed elements we consume) change every so often!.
as someone who doesn't smoke, i notice it quicker!.!. but!.!. the smokers are noticing it also!.!.!.
i've noticed a sudden and very unpleasant change in:
salems
marlboros
and camels lately!.
they all have that funky burning battery acid smell!.!.
maybe the companies are changing elements in the preservative categories (for extended shelf life and 'freshness' of the tobacco) either because they have to due to supplies or they're cutting costs again!.
either or, cigarettes just don't smell like tobacco any longer!.!. haven't in a long, long time!.
last i remember was the 70s the very last time i could tell the difference in brands and what the brand was and how it still smelled a bit like tabacco still!.
those days are gone!.!.!. for sure!.
now a camel smells like a chesterfield which smells like a palmal which smells like a!.!.!. all like preservatives!.
bleck!.
but lately i've noticed a very strange, acidic smoke scent coming from at least 3 brands!.!. i guess they're cheaping up the smoke again!.
but we'll never know for sure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Could be a bunch of things!. When I smoked, they used to taste funny whenever I was coming down with a cold - disguisting aftertaste that hung in the back of my throat and seemed to crawl up my throat as well!. The taste would go away after the cold was over!.
also, they would taste weird if they were stale - which they got stale after the pack was open for a couple of days!. To preserve them a little longer and keep them from going stale, I started keeping them in the freezer!. I'd buy a carton and pop the whole thing in the freezer - rarely had a stale cigarette after that!.
I hope these helped you a little - and don't forget to brush your tongue at least once a day, you'd be surprised at how much that'll help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In some states, they changed the paper of the cigarettes so they burn differently!. It is supposed to be fire safe, and burn out on their own, but my fiance complains about them all the time about how they don't taste right!. Check the link and see if your state is one that passed that law!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Check the barcode on the pack, if it has a tiny "fsc" above the bars, it's the new fire safe cigarettes that most states are requiring by law now!. Texas just passed the law and I know a lot of other states have already done so!.,,,, Now I'll preach,, stop smoking them weird tasting things,,Www@FoodAQ@Com
First of all, GO BRUINS!
Secondly, I have noticed that sometimes, they taste funny!. Not all of them, just some!.!.!.!.
Is it the added crap chemicals!?!?!? Dunno, but sometimes they taste funny!.
That's all, just funny!.
I would think, yes, it'll go away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
