Question: What alcoholic drinks can i have on a yeast-free diet!?
Ive heard that some spirits are ok, is this true and if so which ones!? also what other types of alcohol can i have, if any!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
All alcohol for consumption is produced by yeast!. However, spirits have been distilled and the yeast has been removed!. To be honest you could probably drink mainstream beer too as it's pasteurized and filtered!.

Now I'm curious - what are the supposed benefits of a yeast-free diet!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think so!. Every type of alcoholic beverage I can think of either uses yeast to ferment or fruit or grain which are all forbidden on a yeast free diet!.

As far as I know, all alcohol is created by the actions of yeast, so there's no alcohol that is truly yeast free!.

Link below is to a thread on the subject in a yeast forum!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

All spirits should be OK!. It is only the undistilled drinks like wine and beer that are likely to contain yeast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

RUM :D pure RUM!!!!!!!!!!!!
