Just get an extra long straw and have a wine slushy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually your only supposed to refrigerate white for 20 min!. and red wine not at all!. As a general rule temperature extremes degrade wine both hot and cold!. In my experience I have had wine that has been subjected to hot and cold temperatures and more often than not the wine was fine!. Go drink it, but have a backup bottle just in case!. Red wine as a general rule should be served at room temperature!. Traditionally speaking, all white wines should be served chilled by keeping the wine in the refrigerator, removing the wine about 20 minutes before drinking!. The exception is champagne/sparkling wine which can be refrigerated until you are ready to drink the wine

yeah, the only alcohol that I know of which won't freeze is hard alcohol like vodka, gin, etc,,,

as for your bottle of wine, yeah, take it out, leave it on the counter and let it de-frost or even better, lay it in the sink, just in case (shouldn't happen) that it would explode!. I'm sure you wouldn't want wine all over your counters or floor!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what you mean by "saved"!.

Can you drink it and will it retain it's alcohol!.!.!. sure!.

Will it be just as good as it would have been if you didn't freeze it!? Absolutely not!. Wine has many subtle flavors that develop at very specific temperatures over several years!. When you freeze wine, you volitize and destroy some of the unique flavor and aroma compounds that were in the wine to begin with!. That's why wine aficionado's don't freeze their wine to store it, they keep it at cellar temperatures!.

Now, that being said!.!.!. the only way you will probably really taste the difference (or even care) is if you were one of those wine snobs!. If you just like wine because it's wine, you're just fine!.!.!. so enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Freezing still table wine will NOT hurt it!. that is as long as the cork does not push out from the temperature change!.!.!.!. The wine should be fine!. If you see any crystals just let it warm up to room temp and shake it up to redissolve the tartaric crystals!.

Let the wine cool down and sit for a few days to avoid bottle shock and then drink!.

One of my friends did the exact same thing just the other week!. As long as the bottle is unopened, it will be perfectly fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmmm!.!.!. I thought alcohol didn't freeze!? I guess wine does!.!.!. If its white wine I would put it in the fridge to defrost and then taste it- I'm sure it will be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe let it thaw, and try it - most wine isn't that good to begin with anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
