Answers:
If you use the wine for cooking- you can place in ice cube trays- freeze and place in freezer bags- you should not keep the open bottle in your fridge for more than a few day- so if it is not to old- and you don't want to drink it - freeze it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I was merchandise director at Wine!.com I ran some tests to see which way preserved open wine the longest!. BTW, refrigeration will get you a little extra time added onto these results!.
1) open wine with no outside help- 1 day!.
When you first open wine, air is your friend!. It 'opens up' the wine and improves the flavor by allowing you to enjoy all the nuances!. After a day (sometimes less), air is your enemy and the wine start it's journey to becoming vinegar!.
2) Vacuum- this will get you 3 or 4 extra days!.
3) Argon gas- this will get you maybe a week!.
4) Using a smaller container with no space for air or gas- This is the big winner!. I have gotten a month from this strategy!. I have not tested for more than a month but have heard stories from people who claim several months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 days max!. Once a bottle is opened, it oxidizes and gets an acidic taste, like vinegar!. But cooking with it or freezing it to cook with later is good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no more than a week, although the flavour will start to fade after a couple of daysWww@FoodAQ@Com

3 days the mostWww@FoodAQ@Com

5 Days, it will still have the flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
