Answers:
Scotch is a whiskey, it differs as the way it is distilled, and it involves peat in some sort of way!. I was probably a single malt!. Chivas and and J&B are blended scotches!. A single malt is a different class of scotch usually more expensive and aged alot longer, sounds like that what may have been you had!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nope, Scotch is whisky not whiskey!. All whisky made in Scotland is whisky, but made in Ireland or America it is whiskey!. Or sometimes bourbon!.

But basically yes, it's a distilled grain alcohol!. Scotch is aged over three years, in Scotland in charred oak barrels and it is delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try the "French Oak Finish" variety of Glenlivet single malt!. For its last couple of years of aging it is put in oak barrels formerly used in wine making!. It adds a "sweetness" to the already great Glenlivet character!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

scotch is short for scotch whisky (no E)

There are many types of whiskey!. But the most familiar types are Scotch Whisky, Irish Whiskey, American Bourbon, and Canadian RyeWww@FoodAQ@Com

There are different kinds of whiskey, but in particular Scotch whiskey is made in Scotland and has a distinctive flavour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
