Is it really wrong to take a little sip of gin before work?!
I work at an office and in the morning, before I go in the building, I take a little sip of gin from the bottle under my front seat!. I park on a public street, so I ain't on the company property!. An I ain't driving!. But someone in the company made a video of me drinking and they fired me for zero tolerance!. I wasn't drunk or nothin!. I just need to take the edge of a little bit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, I'm guessing that if you're drinking "to take the edge off" in a car, from a bottle you keep under the seat, every day, then you have a drinking problem!.
Likely they've been looking for a reason to get rid of you for a while, but you've been to busy taking the edge off to notice!. Now you stupidly gave them exactly the kind of thing they needed!. Even if we ignore all the alcoholism warning signs, would it have been that hard to take your sip at home!? Would have been so terrible to hide your gin in a reusable water bottle!? It is illegal to have open intox whether you are drinking or not!. Your company probably felt there would be some trust issues and looked at you as a drunk if you are nipping first thing in the morning!. Yes it is very fair that you got fired!. It doesn't matter if you were drunk or not you were drinking before work and that's not right!. Maybe you should just take that swig in your house not your car!. Then noone would notice!. My dad takes a shot in the morning to warm him up and get him ready for the day!. He lived in europe for a very long time and he tells me thats what they did there!. Now i dont know if that is true but i can see how it would start your day i guess!.
