No matter what recipe you use, you're most definitely better off making it yourself!. The pre-mixed stuff is *okay*, but homemade is always better!.

It's up to you if you want to add in the brandy or vodka!. It just makes it a little stronger and packs an extra punch that some people really like!.

I've made it with several different wines and it always tastes yummy!. Cabernet is AWESOME to use in Sangria!. I usually only pour in the wine, add the sliced fruit and ice!. Then I serve it up that way!. My sister usually puts in about a cup of vodka or brandy, depending on her mood!. lol But that's with two bottles of wine!.

For a slightly different twist, you could use a Merlot that's blended with cherry or blackberry, and still add in the fruit slices!. I usually only add in lemons, oranges and limes!. And when it's all gone, what a shame!.!.!.!. you have a bunch of "happy" fruit to eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make it yourself - its really not that hard!. Good recipe: for a red sangria:

1 btl cab, 8 oz oj, 8 oz pineapple juice, fresh cut granny smith apples, a couple oranges and limes and simple syrup (its just 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water boiled)!.

Delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sangria is not too hard to make!. Take some carlo rossi sangria wine, pour it into a pitcher, cut up some oranges 1 lemon, 1 lime!. Add some brandy about 3-4 shots to a pitcher, and some crushed ice!. stir and pour!. Yummy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like arbor mist sangria!. maybe you should try it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
