Well if you want to go by the old rules, red with meats and white with fish and poultry!.!.!.but I go by my own rules! I drink what I like no matter what I'm eating!. I'm a big fan of merlots, but I drink other types of reds and whites!. If you want a more refreshing "cleansing" flavor then go with the white!.!.!.but if you are looking for a richer, deeper taste!.!.!.go with red!. No matter what!.!.!.souvlaki is awesome lol so either one should taste great!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Red!. A dry tempernillo based spanish wine, maybe a Chianti Classico or Montepulciano di Abruzo, even Beaujolais!. Definitely got to go old world, lower tannins, and you want to aim for something with some spice!. No new oak, and light body!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
red, souvlaki is lamb, white goes with fish and poultry, but of course it's always the consumers choice, go with your favoriteWww@FoodAQ@Com
Just go with your personal preference and enjoy!. If you are hosting a gathering, then it would be best to have both on hand for your guests to make their own selection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
