People say that the liquid part of the whip cream is called hippie crack. Is this true and if so what affects does it have on your body and is it legal???????????????

It's just whipped cream after all the compressed air in a can that makes it fluffy is gone.
Whipped cream is sooo good, that's it in a nutshell. It is great on about everything so people can appear to be addicted to it like crack. But it is pure fat, not a chemical. It is what we make butter out of, dolop onto desserts, make into ice cream, and pour into our coffee, it is not a drug nor is any part of it a drug.

And who ever told you about it being hippie crack needs to have their head examined. Whipped cream or heavy whipping cream is sold legally in grocery stores the world over.

I believe what you're referring to is not actually part of the whipped cream. I've heard of ppl puncturing the accelarant container inside exterior can. That's what huffers do. Huffing can turn you into a drooling, stupid zombie of a person. The material is legal, the behavior is not.
No the liquid part is the cream (duh). The thing that "whips" it is nitrous oxide and that is what is referred to as hippie crack. The legality of it is quite grey. For instance, the dentist uses it an an anesthetic, however it is illegal for a normal person to possess a medical grade tank of it. HOWEVER, you can purchase a whipiteer (a canister for making whipped cream at home) and the NO2 cartriges at any kitchen supply store or even head shop and they are perfectly legal. You can also hold a regular can of whipped cream straight up and suck all of the gas out of it.
But, I must warn you that doing hippie crack can be harmful if you are not careful.
1. Never do it standing up especially on concrete. You will most likely fall over and can crack your head.
2. Be sure to stop long enough to breath. If you don't you will cut off the oxygen supply to your brain and you can cause irreversible damage. (Note: the medical grade stuff that the dentist uses is a 50% nitrous/50% oxygen mixture, that's why when the dentist gives it to you it is ok.)
