Vegetarian sites? with legitimate sources?!

Question:

Vegetarian sites? with legitimate sources?

i am writing a speech about reasons to go vegetarian.

i need to cite sources, but im having problems citing them because peta doesnt specify the particular person who wrote the article and their degree if they ahve one.

if any of you know of any good sites that would include the people involved in this and writing the articles, that would be great.

i've done google search and everything but everythings pretty much linked back to peta from what i could find or the sites werent very helpful.

Peta will refer you to "physicians for responsible medicine"
however, this organization has an agenda - they are all vegans themselves.

The American Heart Association, the National Institutes of Health, Healthy People 2010, and the American Diabetes Association will be able to refer you to plenty of reliable references about the benefits of a vegetarian diet....

However, something to consider, is that plenty of vegetarians DONT eat a healthy diet - just like most other people.

The American Dietetic association www.eatright.org has a position paper on a vegetarian diet. As far as nutrition goes, that is the most reputable I can think of. Vegetariantimes.com also is a great source for recipes, health information. I'm a registered dietitian who has been vegetarian for 17 years.

i know, that's a peta site but have a look around.
