Thinking about incorporating sprouts into my diet, but where to get the seeds?!

Question: Thinking about incorporating sprouts into my diet, but where to get the seeds?
There seem to be a lot of health benefits to eating a lot of sprouts (of all types) but my main hesitation before buying a set of sprouting trays is not knowing where I'd get all the seeds to sprout... if it would cost me a ton just to keep on with the sprouts, then it might not be worth it...

Look in a local health food store or Co-op for bulk bin alfalfa sprouts. Or you can buy them online. For the amount of sprouts you get from a small amount of seeds, they are very economical. All you need is a couple teaspoons per week.

You also don't need to buy special trays. They can be handy, but you can use a typical canning jar and secure cheesecloth over the top with a rubber band. This lets in air, and helps to rinse the seeds.

Its likely they'll sell the sprouts from the same place you are thinking of getting your trays from. I got mine from a health shop. It was about £1 for one bag of seeds. Theres about four tablespoons of seeds in each bag. They grow like crazy, you get a lot - it takes 4 days on average for them to get fully grown. I have what is basically a very big jar. I put 1 and a half tablespoons of seeds in, and the whole jar ends up packed full of sprouts.
