Yep, a little bit, but I just put that picture of that cow trying to walk with its throat cut out or the chicken with its beak seared off or the pig with the gash in its side or the turkey being skinned alive!.!.!.!.!.thats enough im gonna be sick!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Julie V, I think it's great that you have supported your daughter in what she wants to do, even if it goes against what you do/believe!.

As for the cravings, a few times, I think, at the beginning, when I was still transitioning!. Eventually it got better!. The only other time was when I was pregnant, almost two years ago and I wanted cheese!. (Cheese and tater tots were the only odd cravings, since tater tots are too junky for me!. I also wanted spicy foods, which was ironic, given the frequent heartburn!. Yes, I did have a baby with a head full of hair!.)

Julie V's advice about the meat substitutes is good!. My husband, a meat eater with a conscious, will make things with them!. I think he likes the Morningstar Farms chick'n strips, but I'm not sure!. He got them the other day to make me chick'n soup!. However, he does like the Boca veggie crumbles!. Yesterday, I was reading a Women's Day from over the summer (it was either June or September) and something was mentioned about TVP!. I've not tried it, but I now wonder if it's cheaper than the Boca crumbles!. (Boca and Morningstar Farms have gotten more expensive to the point that it was an almost daily thing to an occasional, but still cheaper than other things!.!.!.!.)

I think any desire to eat meat again diminished when I read "The Jungle" again!. I started it over the summer, keep misplacing my copy and start up again!. (It's to the point that I should just start over!.) Ick!. I think it's still true that the meat industry uses everything from the pig but the squeal!. also, "The Ethics of What We Eat, Why Our Food Choices Matter" is also good!. I started it earlier this year, but had to return the book to the library before I finished it!. My husband bought me a copy via our Amazon credit card points and I'm still not very far!. Eh!. I guess it's a drawback of having a 14 month old!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I actually find meat to smell and look disgusting, but over the years I have learned to incorporate "transitional" foods into my diet, so that when for example I want to make tacos with friends, we use TVP and even the meat-eaters love them!. What you are probably craving is familiarity!.!.!. most vegetarians didn't grow up that way, after all!. I personally don't buy anything at Taco Bell due to their affiliation with KFC (they are both Yum! brands) but if you would like, I am told their bean tacos/burritos are delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have craved chicken before but not so much beef!. I use to love Popeye's chicken, it was a family favorite!. also when my mom gets something from McDonald's I always think about what I use to always get from there, a Double quarter pounder with large fries!. That is so ridiculous, veg@nism really opened my eyes to how unhealthy I once was!. And now I am as healthy as ever and I don't plan on going back to chicken, beef, or any other animal product!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no i don't crave it or even find it to smell good but what you can do to help is think about how the pour baby animals are raised to be the burger or taco they a labeled a birth to be eaten by who other then us humans that is what helped me for the first year i dint know how far you are and its different for all of us and don't listen to any one go "Oh my BURGER is so good" some people just want to see you fail just stay strong and you will make it Www@FoodAQ@Com

my daughters been a veggie for 8 years, at first (she was 8) she craved chicken nuggets, but then I got her Morningstar Nuggets which she still loves!. She doesn't crave it at all, in fact, meat really grosses her out!.
When you crave something like tacos, you can make then with Morningstar Crumbles, I even like themWww@FoodAQ@Com

When I think of eating meat, it makes me feel sick, but when I smell stuff like chicken nuggets in McDonalds I really want to eat them!. It makes me feel really guilty but I just get over it and praise my self for not giving in xWww@FoodAQ@Com

Im a vegitarian
Sometimes i crave meat but then when i think about the fact that it is an animal i feel sick!.
Usually i just turn off the tv when a food commercial comes onWww@FoodAQ@Com

I used to, but now it just grosses me out!. I don't know how long you've been veggie for, but it'll pass!. I know it can be gross and annying when you realize you've got a craving for a hunk of dead animal!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not exactly, because I eat meat!. But!.!.!.I can relate because I don't eat much junk food or sweets and I miss things like donuts and candy and chips and all the things I limit myself on! But I know I'll feel sick if I over eat it, and yet its still sounds so yummy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, not at the very least!. The scent that I sense hovering in steakhouses, that meaty scent that skulks in dining rooms and that lies in wait for me at the stairs is nothing but nauseating!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegan lol!.

never had meat!.

No problem here, it's still a rotting corpse and buying it is ethically indefensibleWww@FoodAQ@Com
