You don't get healthier by magic: if your diet was healthy before or you're run-down for some-other reason such as lack of sleep than I think your expectations may not be realistic!. I'm a vegetarian but it's not because I think eating meat in small portions is particularly unhealthy!.

On the other hand, while I don't feel any healthier, my father is so impressed with how much better he thinks I'm doing since the last time I saw him that he really wants to try the vegetarian thing himself! [I never thought I'd be giving my old man tips on the best vege sources of protein & iron]

Finally, as others have said, you need to encourage yourself to feel better -- your doing something really good - not just for you but for animals, the environment & even as an example for others!. Go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a vegetarian is more of a lifestyle choice than a health choice!. Eating healthily requires a well balanced diet, and doing regular exercise!. The main benefit of being vegetarian is that red meat isn't all that great for you, it doesn't digest particularly well, and it isn't as great a source of protein as once thought to be!. There is more protein in a handful of mixed nuts than a plateful of red meat!.

Eat less dairy and not too many eggs either!. Eat more fruit, nuts, and veg, and exercise regularly!. Drink plenty of water!. A lot of reasons for feeling a lack of energy is quite often simply dehydration!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are none for me, I wish there was

I was vegetarian for 8 months 10 years ago out of my own interest and not due to any one else's propaganda
I felt terrible and lost a lot of weight no matter how hard I tried to keep weight on
I still remember when I broke it and tucked into a Turkey and stuffing sandwich, absolutely glorious! All those nutrients and vitamins I needed but was not getting were back in my system

I see most of these replies as nothing but a Christianity style brainwashing attempt!. they feel more secure if they convert as many others as possible!. It convinces them they are right and wards off their private doubts!.
Nothing makes me angrier than a morality preacher!.

I only eat Pig, Turkey and Chicken in 50% of my meals!. Im cutting out beef totally and dont eat any other type of meat!. I have no desire to!. If I could be Veggie 100% I would be but I tried for 8 months and felt like hell during that period! I think we all have differences in the amounts we need!. some need none at all, but some do need a meat intake!. Its biology not choiceWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a veggie not vegan, and I eat pretty unhealthily (student, that's my excuse), so it IS down to the individual to eat healthily!.
I just love being veggie!. At least I KNOW what's going into my body, meat is literally!.!.!. disgusting!. It truly is!. It's full of crap!. it's from a dirty animal in a dirty factory farm, pumped with dirty chemicals and killed cruelly!.

Next time you see your friend eating a huge greasy burger, you might see how barbaric and ******* gross being a meat eater truly is!. It literally makes my stomach turn!.
Veggie food just feels cleaner, y'know!?

Your body WILL thankyou, we're not even built to eat meat!. that's a fact!. Don't give up, this is the best thing you'll ever do!. Promise!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Animal products are high in sodium, which causes the blood to retain water and also causes plaque to build up in the arteries, lowering the flow of blood, which are major causes of high blood pressure!.
According to a study done in England for 12 years of 5,015 meat eaters and 6,115 vegetarians, it was found that vegetarians had 40% less chance of getting cancer!.

Its good for me and its me telling those farmers and those animal abusers that i dont support them at all!. I continue to help motivate myself to keep this going by looking up images of the slaughter house and just the truth i just started reading a book called fast food nation the dark side of the all american meal and so far im sure this tell me the truth of what i didnt know!. And im like not the smartest girl i feel like i dont have any impact on this world but this made me think you know what i may be one person to stop eating meat but at least i help out those animals as small as i may be compared to all those people out their eating meat at least i can help out a little and that makes me feel like im worth being here on this earth i cant explain it !.!. you know!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

the main benefits are the stomach!. we are not really designed to eat meat!. we have a large intestine and the meat takes longer to digest, carnivorous animals have a short intestine which is ideal because the meat does not cause problems like it can with us, bowel Cancer etc!. i eat meat but when i think how much it is normally no more than twice a week!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well you will live longer, have a lower risk of cancer, lower life insurance premiums, more money to spend on other things (meet is expensive), a lower carbon footprint (if you care), i meen these things are all taken from averages so im not promising!. one of the greatest benefit is dominance of the moral high ground when it comes to things like the enviroment and animal cruelty! any meet eater in an argument will get destroyed!. The best of all is that you will feel better about yourself! youre not causing the slaugter of animals and i dont think anyones gonna pick a fight with you for that eg!. ' how dare you not cause the slaughter of animals! 'Www@FoodAQ@Com

As long as you are eating your five a day fruit and veg, you should gradually feel more healthy!. Don't eat too much dairy produce as it can contain unwanted fats!. Eat as much organic food as you can and drink plenty of water!. You will soon notice the difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't feel healthier because you aren't getting enough protein and iron that your body needs!. Go have a steak and quit listening to people lie to you about what your body is designed to eat!.
