OMG!! Is it real fur or not?? ?!
I'm vegetarian, but I also don't wear real fur because I believe animals killed for fur endure the worst pain!. Well!.!.stupid me, I bought a coat today without reading the tags!.!.!.!.!.
Fill: 80% down, 20% feather
Real Fur Hood Trim: Dyed Rabbit
Fur Origin: China

ohhh, I have this Jacket!.!.!. yeah sweetie!.!.!. It is real!. You are having a Bunny around your body!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm confused if your against animals being killed to use their fur in clothing why would you purchase a jacket that was 80% down and 20% feather!? Was it okay for them to kill the geese and other birds so that they can insulate your coat!? If you Truly cared about animals you would just were cotton or other materials that are not made from animals!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm thinking that the website is saying that the fur is "faux" because it's supposed to look like mink or something like that!. But rabbit fur is rabbit fur so!. Sorry, the reason it feels so good is because it's real fur!. I don't have a problem with that but, to each his own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
uh!.!.!. more like return the coat!? wearing it with or without the dead animal doesn't make you any more vegetarian!. we've all had run-ins, i'm sure!. however!.!. did you not realize that this coat has down in it anyways!? down comes from geese

Rabbit is rabbit!. Taking the hood off doesn't support the industry any less!. You still paid for the fur!. If you don't want to take part in supporting the industry, return the coat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
welll either way a million birds died and were plucked to fill it!.
so its still mean regardless!.
g o to the store and check the tab!. or write to them, askingWww@FoodAQ@Com

It probably is rabbit!.!.!. or something else!.!.!. I saw a news article recently where dogs and cats were being used for fur trim on products that come from China that were advertised as 'faux fur'!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Why do you care!? Is killing geese for down any better than killing rabbits or cats for fur!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Well if the fur is from China that rabbit might have been skinned alive!. :OWww@FoodAQ@Com
Sounds like it's rabbit fur!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's very likely real - but what good would you wearing the coat without it do!? The animal has already died for it, and you have already paid for its death by buying the coat - that makes you responsible for it whether or not you put the hood in the back of your cupboard!
The only way round this is to take it back for a refund and complain about the inaccurate website description (and don't trust them if they say it's fake; China is well known for labelling real fur as fake to con animal lovers)!.
also, I really don't understand what you think the difference is between fur, and the down and feathers that are also in the coat - if you are vegetarian because you don't want to hurt or kill animals then you have already failed in that objective by not being vegan! The animals which provided those feathers were killed for them too!.!.!.
Another example is that most wool in the USA is from dead sheep (pulled wool), rather than live sheep (shorn wool)!. Although of course even when it is taken from live ones, they won't be live for very long, and they sure aren't happy!.
Any industry involving keeping animals for profit will be inherently cruel as you are making their choices for them - what to eat, where to live, where to go, who to have sex with (or not to mate at all, they are usually artificially inseminated anyway), etc etc - when I realised that vegetarianism was ethically pointless I went vegan instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
