A really good vegetarian main meal, what would you serve your guests?!
Answers:
Well, I'm a huge fan of curry and I have a really good vegetable biryani recipe which I would serve with homemade pishwari naan and home made savoury rice!.
Then for pudding - I know it doesn't really go with curry but it's amazing - I would serve my vegan chocolate and orange cake, which is delicious!.
You don't say whether you want recipes or not - email me if you want any of these recipes and I'll send them to you!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wow! That's an open question!
I have been a veggie for around 14 years now!.!.!.!.!. and going to someone's house - who isn't a veggie - for dinner is always a nervous event! lol :0)
My best tip would be to TRY and TASTE the food you are planning to serve before you serve it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. I am (I hope) always a good guest and will always be polite and thankful for any meal my host provides!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. however there is very much such a thing as an awful veggie meal!
If you are a good cook then let your imagination run wild! Have a look at what local restaurants are offering their veggies - with 'simple and clean' being very much the fashion with food at the moment - you will prob find something simple but tasty to cook!.
If you are not a confident cook then how about a basic made the veggie way!?!?
One of my favourites is Veggie Lasagne!.!.!.!.!.!. but not made with veggies (I really don't like veggie lasagne made with carrots and such like) but made as normal (pasta sheets, white/cheese sauce, and bolinase sauce) but instead of using mince meat, use Veggie Mince Meat!! Veggie mince is one of the better meat substitutes and when in Lasagne / Spaghetti Bolognaise it tastes great!
If you do make this then make sure you tell your guests its veggie - because it really does look the same as if made with meat!. also - because the veggie mince is so good I have not yet come across a non-veggie who hasn't liked this meal!.
Other options could be spinage and ricotta cheese tart (made with (pre-made) puff pastry or spinage and ricotta cheese with pasta!. Both common safe veggie choices!.
Something that is nice is if everyone else is eating the meat option is to have a veggie option that isn't too far removed (such as with the lasagne)!.!.!.!.!.!. for example!.!.!.!. there's nothing more annoying that going to someone's house for a Sunday roast to see everyone with their roast potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire puds!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. to then be served risotto! lol (Risotto is another good idea by the way) !.!.!.!. Because if everyone else is eating a roast dinner then take a look at the roast dinner - almost all of it is veggie!!! Potatoes (not cooked in meat fat), Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, veggies, gravey (not made with meat fat)!.!.!.!.!.!. yum yum!!! Personally I have a roast but without the meat!.!.!.!.but if your serving to a guest then a good piece of nut roast or veggie toad in the hole (toad in the hole but made with veggie sausages ;0)), ricotta cheese tart or goats cheese and tomatoes tart along with the rest of the roast may be good!.
Ummm!.!.!.!. what else do we like!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
Well I love a good salad, most potato/rice dishes, !.!.!.!.!. oooh!.!.!.how about a lovely veggie curry!?!?!?!? Or Tia Green (Veggie) Curry! Yum!!!
Basically, my tip would be not to worry to much about it - most of what we ALL eat is veggie (potatoes, rice, bread, veggies, etc etc) and I am sure you will come up with something lovely!. :0)

Hi!
How about -
French Onion Soup to start, followed by
Gnocci - boil, then once they rise to the top of the pan, take them straight out!
with a marscapone cream cheese and tomato sauce, with basil, garlic and onions (mix all together in pan, stir, season, taste and add accordingly!)
Put all together into a oven dish, and bake, with a bread crumb topping! Serve with seasonal baby leaves!.
Then something yum or dessert, like ice-cream - or as the main is quite rich, a nice tropical fruit platter!
Yum! Enjoy whatever you decide to make!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is easy and tasty
boil together in a large pot as many veggies you can get your hands on, this would include, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, broccolli sprouts anything you like, when they are all cooked, take a tin of condensed lentil soup and combine the veg with the soup heap it all into a big casserole dish , ( make some scones, if you eat cheese these are nice) and pop them all around the top of the veggie mix bake in the ovem for 20 mins until scones are cooked!.
Veggie Cobbler mmmmmm
Ps you can also add any herbs, seasoning etc you may like to the veggies, I often do a spicey one, with chillies garlinc and ginger in or just use some vegetable stock to flavour Www@FoodAQ@Com
