Many, probably most, vegans and vegetarians disagree with much of what PETA says and does!.
It's a mistake to think PETA is somehow the voice of veg*nism - there were vegetarians and vegans long, long before there was ever PETA; PETA was started as recently as 1980!.
Yes, I think PETA does much more harm than good!. If I had to pick out just three things I vehemently object to, I'd say their disgraceful response to the Greyhound bus murder some months ago, their sexism and the exploitation of women in their propaganda, and the hypocrisy of their leader who, dependent on animal-tested and -derived insulin for her own survival, seeks to deny other people the same access to animal-tested life-saving drugs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think they're too violent, especially when they're trying to promote something as nonviolent as veg*nism!. They make people afraid of people who actually care about animals!. I live in a place where the only knowledge that most people have of vegetarians and the animal rights movement is that they "have something to do with PETA," and that's a stigma I've found difficult to overcome once I reveal my dietary preferences to them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have a personal hatred for PETA!.
They 'released' a friend of mines' assistance dog, Lucy!.
Apparently, Lucy was a poor doggie that had never done anything wrong and didn't deserve to be so 'abused'!.
Apparently leaving a blind woman in the middle of a street alone and confused was perfectly okay, so long as the dog could have a good life on the streets!? WTH!?!?
They way overstep their bounds, they destroy animals lives, and actually have very little understand of animals!. Most animals bred into captivity will die in the wild!.
I hate them stealing livelihoods from people, hurting their animals, and most of all i despise them for stealing a womans remains out of the ground!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm against them using (in their "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaigns) airhead celebs, who are then photographed months later wearing fur!. That does a lot more harm than good!. They should be a bit more choosy, and select only (reasonably good-looking) notables with more than an ounce of IQ - that probably lets out Pamela Anderson!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
