PROS
1!. More fiber in your diet, less junk in your colon to poison your blood stream!.
2!. No more feeling bloated!.
3!. Healthier in general!. Your body's pH prefers to be alkaline!. This keeps you the healthiest!. While you won't be immune to everything and anything, things like diabetes, infections, viruses, and even cancer flourish in an acidic environment!. Plant foods produce "alkaline ash," which keeps your body's pH more alkaline!. Meats produce "acid ash," which, you guessed it, switches your body's pH to be more acidic!. Notice that most of the people who have diabetes are people who eat meat-heavy diets!. It's not a coincidence, unfortunately!.
4!. Raw fruits and vegetables provide you helpful enzymes that can break down your food!. Meat doesn't, which is why you feel so bloated afterwards!. This lack of enzymes also produces inflammation, which is why people who have joint problems, chronic inflammation (like arthritus or asthma) do better when they cut down on or cut out meat!.
5!. If you're a fan of animals and hate animal cruelty, know you aren't participating in their inhumane slaughter!. While animals do slaughter each other in the wild, it's not the same way we do it!.


CONS
1!. Having to really sift through and scrutinize a menu, and possibly having to piece together a meal, instead of just sitting down at a restaurant and being able to eat anything you'd like!.
2!. Having to remind people that you are a vegetarian and that they need to stop being d*cks about it and just let you enjoy your meat-free lifestyle!. Some people bug you about it and I've heard of other people saying, "Taste it, it's meat-free!" only to tell you that you just ate meat after taking a bite!. I have no idea why people do this!.
3!. Having to constantly hear that you need to take multi-vitamins and supplements!. I eat no animal products and I also bodybuild!. I don't take supplements!. I get what I need from my food!.
4!. Having to deal with people who think they should tell you how to eat!. This is different from point 2 because point 2 refers to friends/family!. Here, I'm talking about random strangers overhearing that you're vegetarian and they get in your business about it!.
5!. If you aren't doing it for the animals and/or don't like PETA, you'll hear people harp on you for being stupid for caring about animals!.

The advantages are that it's cheaper and much healthier (although not necessarily lower-fat, depending on what you eat and how you cook it), safer (since vegetables are not so dangerous when they spoil), more environmentally sound (methane from livestock is the largest contributor to global warming), and a more ethical choice!.

The disadvantages are social - it can be awkward when people either don't know, understand or respect how your vegetarianism works - and that it can be very difficult to eat a satisfactory vegetarian diet when travelling!. There is also a willpower element - a lot of vegetarians, especially the newer ones, crave some sort of meat product they used to eat, even when they know it's disgusting in concept!. Pros:
You're likely to eat healthier, because you HAVE to, or else you may become anemic or malnutritioned!. So you'll likely eat more vegetables and fruits and these are foods that are good for your body!. You may increase your life span by eating more health foods!.

You are preventing cruel practices, by supporting the boycott against cruel factory farm animal treatment!. You are also helping the environment in a way!.

You don't have to worry about getting salminella or bacterial diseases from meat!.

You don't have to worry about the questionable health effects of the growth hormones/steroids found in meat!.

Cons:
If you start eating healthier in general, your body becomes more intolerant of processed foods and junk foods!. You may get a headache from eating them or feel sick!. Some might see this as a pro because it leads you to eat a diet thats better for your body!.

You can't eat meat!. Your body also becomes more interolant to meat!. For some this is a con!.

You have to eat and plan more carefully than your meat eating friends to ensure that you stay healthy!.

It take more work to get protein and gain muscle, you'll have to take a protein supplement if your trying to lift weights or bodybuild!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You cant have burgers or bacon sandwiches
You have to be careful to get enough iron - this may mean supplements

Your friends and relations will probably not understand healthy vegetarian eating
You may need different meals friom the rest of the family

its good but depends on what u eat
i could say i'm a vegetarian but i eat cheese and eggs and some times chicken or ham but there are so many types of vegetarians its hard to be vegan cause u can only eat special foods so i say if u go vegetarian make sure u eat the way u want to and don't force ur self a certain way because u wanna be happy with what u do with your body and how u feel Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a vegetarian means you are eating more healthy foods and the disadvantages will be, you"re missing out a lot of fantastic and delicious food!.(you will gain something and you will also lose some)It"s fun!.

Coming from pretty much a carnivore!.!.!.

Cons!.
-You'll more than likely have to take supplements!.
- No more steak, lamb chops, roast dinners, sushi, BBQ's, egg and bacon breakkies, burgers, fish n' chips!.!.!. List goes on!.
- Only vegetarian pizza's!.
- With spag bog you'll have to use that vegetarian stuff they think tastes like meat, if not, no spaghetti!.
- I don't understand!.!.!. Animals slaughter each other out in the wild, predators mercilessly rip away at thier preys flesh!. Hows slaughtering meat for consumption any different!?!?

Pros!.
- The animals well being!.
