How does being a vegetarian affect your imune system?!

Question: How does being a vegetarian affect your imune system!?
Answers:
When my husband was vegetarian (lacto-ovo) he noticed no effects to his immune system!. If anything, you'll get food poisoning less, simply because you'll be exposed to poorly cooked meat less!. You're also more likely to be getting enough vitamin C because plant foods make up a larger part of your diet!.

An interesting effect in long-term vegetarians, though, is that when they get accidental exposure to meat it sometimes induces a rather nasty intestinal reaction because their current intestinal flora just aren't equipped to deal with meat anymore!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Studies done by the Seventh Day Adventists show that vegetarians live about 10 years longer then omnivores; This would suggest that the diet is good for the immune system!. A number of health problems have been linked to excessive meat consumption too!.

BTW: Hay fever is an over reaction of your immune system and some of use veggies get it too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, I' m a vegetarian!. And most people usually say "low source of protein!." It's a pretty weak argument though!. You can get the same stuff from peas, beans, nuts, soy milk and other crap like suchhh!.!.!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
