Actually Mythbusters tested several of these alleged traits of cola empirically, and most are complete bullshit. Here is the breakdown:
1. False. Cola is no more irritating to the eyes and mucous membranes that plain water. I know, I've had coke dispensing machinery explode and spray me in the face. I was fine other than being sticky.
2. False. The carbonic acid is far too weak. Even if left overnight it would just make a soggy steak.
3. False. Batteries are filled with sulfuric acid, not carbonic (which is much weaker).
4. False. There are no vapors other the a little CO2 released. In an open area, this is harmless.
5. False. No doctor has ever made such a claim.
6. False. The effect was achieved with a combination of cornstarch, water, and various dyes.
7. False. Mythbusters tested this by putting sperm on slides, then adding coke to some and saline to others. A doctor was able to seek the same number of live sperm in both.
