before you buy any loose leaf tea, make sure you have a way of brewing it. you could use a strainer. I don't recommend tea balls or those small mesh balls that hold tea. the reason is that those things don't allow the leaves to expand which is very important. anyway, big mega mart stores usualy carry lipton black loose leaf tea, but if you want more variety and better quality, try whole foods, a specialty grocery store, or an asian mart.

Big name stores typically carry standard loose leaf teas. If you're looking for the freshest leaf though I suggest checking online stores. Many places will actually give you more tea.

I shop for mine at www.wisemantea.com I've been shopping there for years and their leaves are always very unique, potent, and they include extra samples with your order.

There are tons of online shop, some of which have really good loose leaf teas. You can try this one for example

Also you can ask folks at

they helped me a lot with finding great tea vendors.

Try Whole Foods or Sprouts markets.
