Question: Help! its against physics!!?
me and a mate were mixing cordial flavors!.!. we had Blueberry (blue in color) and Orange (orange in color)!.!. we mixed the two!.!. we were very VERY surprised to find that our new mixed cordial was a Lime green color!.

LIME GREEN!!!

WTF! if anyone can explain it would be really good! does anyone know why this happened!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Although your orange drink was orange in color, it was probably colored with a combination of red and yellow dye; these two colors make orange when mixed together!. All food grade colorings are typically just mixtures of primary colors!.

The orange drink probably had more yellow dye than red; so when it was mixed with blue, the mixture of blue and yellow was stronger and produced a light green color!.

It makes perfect sense if you have a basic idea of the color wheel and how beverages are colored with a combination of dyes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
