An article in New Scientist magazine mentions that numerous studies suggest that green tea protects against a range of cancers, including lung, prostate and breast cancer!. According to the U!.S!. Tea has tannins in it!. The stronger the tea, typically the higher the tannin content!. Tannins prevent your body from absorbing essential nutrients, like calcium!. That's why it is beneficial to put a little milk in your tea, so that calcium it prevents is usurped by the added calcium in the milk!.

Well tea does have some benefits but if it is strong it will have more caffeine and tannis in it!. Once we hit 300 mg of caffeine a day we start to have problems and tannis is considered an antinutrient!. As long as you have only 1 maybe 2 a day and get enough nutrition from your diet and supplements like we all should be doing anyhow then you should not have any concern!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some types, which are sold as diet teas, contain ephedra and those can cause heart irregularities!. Some people have supposedly died from them!. But regular tea, even if strong, will not harm you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
