Cranberry Juice????!
Answers: What is the difference between cranberry juice and cranberry cocktail???? Do they both serve as good antioxidants??? Please help!!!
I used to work at an organic food store and a smoothie shop, so this is the perfect question for me. Cranberry juice is better for you because cranberry cocktail is actually very little juice, and a whole lot of sugar. If you want the healthiest choice, get an organic cranberry juice. Berries loose at least 50% of their antioxidants when sprayed with pesticides. When purchasing cranberry juice, you can get sugar free, which is better for you, but will be extremely sour. I like the sugar free kind when I am going to mix it in with something sweet, like with strawberries and some berry yogurt.
I believe that the differences between the two might lay in the sugar content (or use of high fructose corn syrup), actual juice content, ratio of juice to water, & or the ratio of cranberry juice to equal or lesser parts of other kinds of juices (apple or pear) mixed into the contents of the bottle.
Cranberry juice in and of itself is a good source of antioxidents, Vitamin C. In large quantities it can be beneficial in supporting the urinary tract/system.
Cranberry juice is unadultered and cranberry cocktail is a blended juice. For any kidney problems or urinary infections your doctor may prescribe an ongoing treatment with Cranberry juice or cranberry capsules to prevent further infection due to the high acid content in cranberries.
