How can I prevent nectarines going mouldy before they are fully ripe?!

Question:

How can I prevent nectarines going mouldy before they are fully ripe?

Answers:

Try putting them close to some bananas. Bananas emit a gas called ethylene which causes other fruits to ripen very quickly (this is why many supermarkets will put bananas in a separate area). The nectarines should ripen before mould has a chance to grow. Hope that helps!
