Jam and Jelly?!

Question:

Jam and Jelly?

What is the Difference Between the two? They both look the same. They both taste good. What is the Difference between the two?

Answers:

Jelly only uses the juice of the fruit. Jam uses the juice plus the pulp. The pulp is puree'd, so it's still smooth. If you left the pulp whole, or in chunks, you would have what they call "preserves".

It you want to make it even more confusing, there's also "marmelade", which is like preserves, but they also use the fruit peel as well.
