i was travelling and i brought milk with me. The sour smell and horrible taste are some pretty good indicators that the milk isn't good. If it doesn't upset your stomach and it tasted ok, then nothing to worry about. I say about 1/2 hour before it's churning with bacteria and other bugs. it will be good untill it tastes sour Depends on amount of milk in the container (less milk equals more germs per square inch), if you backwashed at all, and the temperature. I would say toss it after two days and stop drinking out of the carton like a pig. half of a hour May be a day, make sure you don't keep until the next day.
