Try decaff - it seems you are having a reaction to caffeine
Some people are super-sensitive to caffeine. Two to three cups, depending on the brand can be alot of caffeine to consume. It can speed everything up in your body, including your heart rate. Try decaf instead :-)
Give the coffee a rest for a while, try herbal and fruit teas, much better for you.
Don't drink it after noon if you want to sleep at night. The cheaper the coffee bean the more of a buzz you can get. Always eat something with or before your coffee, like a piece of toast. A lot of people build an immunity over the years......try to avoid the contest, but none the less, enjoy your coffee, provided you have no allergies to it.
Do you usually drink coffee? I don't, and 2 cups in 1 day did exactly the same thing to me. Drank them in the morning and it wore off by mid-afternoon. I think even people who are used to drinking 2-3 cups a day get side affects like nervousness, etc, but they're just used to feeling like that so they don't notice the effect it's having on them.
Yes you are. Leave it alone.
If you don't usually drink coffee or other beverages that contain caffeine then your reaction is pretty normal and you probably just overindulged. Most people who drink several cups throughout the day are used to the caffeine and because of that they don't become overly nervous/agitated.
Same thing happens to me. I have to have decaf, I mean only one cup will send me over the edge, lol. Plus, caffeine isn't really good for people.
I had the same issue and thought one day I was actually having a heart attack. I couldn't breathe and my heart was palpitating like crazy. I didn't know what it was. Then I stopped drinking caffeinated coffee and haven't had the problem since. I feel so much better it is unreal. No heartburn anymore either. I drink decaf. It is so much better than it used to be. Why don't you give it a try. You will feel better too, no doubt.
Change to decaff. Or never drink regular coffee after 4 pm.
People who regularly drink beverages containing caffeine soon develop a reduced sensitivity to caffeine. This means they require higher doses of caffeine to achieve the same effects as someone who doesn't drink caffeinated drinks every day. In short, the more caffeine you take in, the more caffeine you'll need to feel the same effects.
Caffeine moves through the body within a few hours after it's consumed and is then passed through the urine. It's not stored in the body, but you may feel its effects for up to 6 hours if you're sensitive to it.
As you cut back on the amount of caffeine you consume, you may find yourself feeling tired. Your best bet is to hit the sack, not the sodas: It's just your body's way of telling you it needs more rest. Your energy levels will return to normal in a few days.
