Stabucks chai tea?!
Stabucks chai tea?
What are the different types of chai tea at Starbucks? I heard there was cold + hot? Are there different flavors?
Answers:
There are many different types of Chai tea. I'm sure Starbucks will make whatever you want, hot or cold, latte or frap, with skim or whole milk. I'm not sure of this, but I'm sure they brew one kind of chai tea, and make recipes from there.
Now Celestial seasonings has several different kinds of chai tea to brew. Some different kinds are Regular chai, White Vanilla chai, Chocolate Caramel Enchantment, Ginger Vanilla Green Chai tea. check their website for any more.
i like their Passion Tea its really good!
hot is basically hot tea, cold is frappachino, which is frozen and blended with ice, but it can contain more sugar, milk which equals more calories
the chai te latte is awesome hot or cold but i think there is only one flavor.
Chai is the combination of cinnamon, cardamon, and other spices. It can be either black or green tea based. It usually has honey in it. It always has milk in it.
Hot is nice when the weather is cold. The cold is a nice alternative to an iced coffee drink.
Starbucks uses Tazo teas to make the pomegranate and tangerine slush teas.
If you like Chai, also take a look at the teas at Panera. I prefer theirs.
If you like Starbucks chai tea you could also try your local 7-Eleven (or other convince store) chai tea. Many have chai right on their cappuccino machine. Last time I had a chai from my local Starbucks it was really watered down and the 7-Eleven chai tea tasted better.
Tazo Chai Tea at Starbucks. There are the filterbags which is a great alternative to the calories and sugar that we usually indulge in the morning. the tea is full of cinnamon, cardamon, star anise, licorice, pepper, vanilla bean and black tea. the result is a highly intoxicating smell and a wonderfully spicy tea. There however is the Chai Tea Latte (hot or on the rocks) that is an equal porportion of milk and chai tea concentrate (along the same lines of the chai tea filterbags but with some honey, vanilla, ginger, and sugar). The Chai Tea Latte is the most popular out of the Chai offerings at Starbucks. Its spicy when you order it up to standard, but if you prefer more creamy than spicy ask for no water (which expands the concentrate normally). Soy no water chais taste excellent. Then last but not lease there is the Chai Creme Frappuccino Blended Creme. Its nonfat milk/sugar base with ice, chai syrup, blended with whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkled on top. If your watching your weight, this one has some hefty calories but tastes similar to a cinnamon milkshake. Check them all out. Chais are pretty versatile. I love cinnamon sprinkled in my chais. Adds to the spicyness.
