last time I checked plants don't have souls.. we can grow plants, but animals are born through the process of birth.

I don't. I harvest them when they are ready to eat. Whether I eat it or not, it will finish it's life cycle at the end of the growing season anyway. Besides, tomatoes, cukes and tons off other veggies aren't killed when harvested. The fruit is taken...which will rot anyway if not eaten.

As for killing of any organisim, it is the way of existience.
Entities here take in matter and convert the matter to energy, what is not used is expelled and reused/ assimilated by other organisims.
I don't see the death of an organisim, simple or complex, as death but rather and endless cycle of recyling matter.

Here's my $0.02. Science has shown that plants do not have a central nervous system. This means that they do not feel anything when they are harvested.

If you're moronic enough to equate the harvesting of non-sentient, solar-energy absorbers to the killing of thinking, breathing, sentient creatures...then you must have blockage of your arteries, which led to lack of oxygen to the stagnant remnants your brain, from killing & eating animals.
