Question:

Wat type of restaurant is a good choice to take a vegetarian to?

I am going to be takinga girl out this weekend she is a vegetarian. What types of restaurants have good selections for vegetarians?

Answers:
It would be difficult to recommend one since I don't know your location, but going to a vegetarian-friendly restaurant is your best option.

Check out the list of vegetarian and vegetarian-friendly restaurants on VegDining.com. Many of these restaurants have been reviewed by people who have dined there, so this could help you narrow down your choices.

Good luck on your date!

johnny carino's, The Outback or Lonestar.

Many Indian restaurants have a wide variety of vegetarian foods. Pizza is also good because you can pick what you want to have put on your pizza.

Id say Indian, or Asian. There is normally a good selection to choose from. Thai food is nice!!

Italian usually works well since they usually have veg. pasta choices. Also give the restaurant a call first and ask. You can let her know you checked things out in advance and it might win you some points.

Good luck though...I find it hard enough to work with vegetarians let alone date one. :)

mexican restaurant. There are so many options there. Cheese enchiladas, spinach enchiladas, tosadas, rellenos, taco salads (minus the beef) etc...

There are lots: Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese. Also Greek, Lebanese or Moroccan should have a pretty good selection for vegetarians as well.

well i would have 2 say THE OLIVE GARDEN, because they have lots of vegetables, & lots of pastas, breads, so i'm thinking Olive Garden, or if not, take her to a chinese restaurant that has a buffet in it, or she can just order vegetables. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

zen palate or an Indian restaurant.

Well of course the best restaurant (or rather the safest) would be a vegetarian one.

If there aren't any in your area, the next best would be Asian cuisine. Their cooking utilizes a variety of vegetables, as well as tofu. I know in Thai cuisine most milk based entrees use coconut milk. It's actually one of my favorites.

Depending on what type of vegetarian she is, I would be wary of Indian food. Some of it contains cow milk, and if you're not familar with the prepartion methods of various dishes I would steer clear of that.

My best advice would be to look at the menus for various restaurants that you would consider. Call them up and see if they can alter certain dishes to make them vegetarian friendly (ie no cheese is easy to remove). OR just let her choose!

Really anyplace is good. if she doesnt want to see the meat being served to other people, take her to a sushi bar.
they r fun, delicious, virtually meatless, and did i mention delicious.

ummm sushi is meat?

i agree with thai...

or be romantic! order a veggie delite from subway and split it at a picnic. neither of you can be put in an awkward situation

ihop
google search one
make your own salad
ditch the veggie eater

Indian restaurants if she likes spicy foods. If she eats dairy products, then an Italian restaurant is also a good idea. Ruby Tuesday sells a great vegetarian burger. Some Mexican restaurants are good, although some of them make their non-meat dishes with lard, so you have to be careful of which ones you pick.

It's not very romantic, but the Soup Plantation (or Sweet Tomatoes - they're the same) is WONDERFUL. I love that place so much. It's a huge salad bar with soups and fresh fruit and pastas and everything vegetarian is marked so. And their strawberry lemonade is made from scratch with real sugar. Souplantation is my most favorite restaurant in the whole word!

Do a little research on your area. Find places that have a good assortment of pasta dishes or noddle dishes. Indian restaurants are usually ok and most Italian places have veg options.

If you search '(your town) vegetarian restaurants' you will usually get a page that tells you ones that will be good.

if your going for cheap subway. i have been a vegitarian for 5 years now. or take her to a place with a salad bar.

um to the person who said sushi is meat up there...actually sushi just means like vinegared rice. sashimi and such are the ones with the meat....sorry:D

Almost all restaurant have veggie meals, I love the meals at the Macaroni Grill.

Chinese or italian
