How are free range animals killed? is it humane like kosher animals?

i need to know if free range animals are treated with the same standards or similar to kosher animals. Are they killed the same way to kosher animals?


Answers:
Don't think that for a second kosher slaughtering is any more humane than the next slaughterhouse. Ideally the kosher method is meant to be more humane, however in large industries thats rarely the case.

Now do you believe for a second that the workers in these industries pay that much attention to detail and ensure the animal is slaughtered properly according to kosher laws? Think about it.

Ok so on to free range, is it humane??
Free range has nothing to do with Kosher dietary laws. More than likely free range in most cases is hardly free range at all.

Needless to say, there really isn't much standard set for free range animals:
The USDA has no specific definition for "free-range" beef, pork, and other non-poultry products. All USDA definitions of "free-range" refer specifically to poultry. No other criteria-such as the size of the range or the amount of space given to each animal-are required before beef, lamb, and pork can be called "free-range". Claims and labeling using "free range" are therefore unregulated. The USDA relies "upon producer testimonials to support the accuracy of these claims."

I guess you have to decide for yourself what you choose to believe, however I would suggest avoiding any meat dairy industry altogether. Most meats people buy are hardly from the farmer down the street, and the animals are treated as nothing more than a "product" used to make the industries richer. Don't even think they give one damn about anyones health or concerns.

Saying that kosher slaughter is more humane than non-kosher slaughter is a very contentious issue. There is lots of evidence to suggest that kosher slaughter is as, if not more, distressing for animals.

Why do people ask questions like this? Are you looking for some specific answer that will forever change your life? Usually these questions wind up getting all kinds of sick responses. I eat meat, I buy it at the store, I don't and try not to think about the steps that were involved in getting that meat to the market. I think God put animals on the earth (cows, pigs, sheep, etc.) for specific reasons to feed his people. I hope that the killing of meat animals is done humanely, and if not, I don't think if I stop eating meat people will stop supplying meat for human consumption.

In today's terms, Kosher doesn't mean humane.

I don't know about Kosher, but "free range" simply means the animal is not confined to a small cage. Chickens, for instance, are typically confined to a "nest box" that is hardly big enough to allow it to turn around. A free range chicken may still never see the light of day, but it is allowed to walk around.

Kosher and free-range animals are all treated NON-HUMANELY. There is no such thing as humane meat. They are all exposed to gruesome conditions and are brutally killed. The goal of meat farmers is not to be ethical. It's to get money. And they find any way they can to make factory farming efficient and cheap. Cheap is not necessarily ethical.
