I've been a vegetarian for only 1 year now, but i love it!
I love to go to any indian restaurants, because they usually serve vegetarian meals. but most restaurants serve vegetarian meals too, so i dont mind any. like chinese or american.

I think it was called Veranda or something to that effect. It's a vegetarian restaurant. Very good food, in my opinion:P
For a dinner party, i would have one of those plates with dip and vegetables all around and dipping sauce. then some vegetarian foods like veggie lasagne or rice and veggies or anything you like.
But WOW! I can't believe you've been one for 28 YEARS. That's amazing! hopefully i'll be able to be one for that long too.

You can order vegetarian in virtually any restaurant. Say I go to Olive Garden and order Chicken Fettuccine. I'll just request that they leave off the chicken...no big deal. Unless it's a hamburger or something like that, you can order almost any dish without the meat. That's what I do when I go out to eat. I love Mexican food and almost any good Mexican restaurant (the thing you have to be careful of with them, though, is that some put lard in their beans. You can ask the cook if they use lard before you dine there, or just not eat the beans).
Now, for a dinner party, I would suggest eating, again, any of your favorite dishes minus the meat or with a meat substitute. If you use a substitute, make sure it tastes good. Some of them taste like plastic! But such brands as MorningStar Farms, Boca, and Quorn have very good meatless products.
