Vegans can eat anything that is not derived from an animal. So that means no meat of course! But also no milk,cheese,butter,eggs and none of the things hidden in food that most meat eaters have no concept of ie gelatin,animal rennet,certain e numbers and additives.The list is very long but not as long as the list what still can be eaten.

The 1st two responders nailed it. If it came from an animal they won't allow themselves to eat it.
They don't eat any products derived from animals. No meat, egg, dairy products, honey, etc. This also will include soaps/cosmetics that are made from animal products. Leather, fur, wool are also no-nos.
well no1 doesnt allow me,i choose to not eat any flesh or products from an animal(vegitarian)as well as not drinkin milk eatin honey or eggs(vegan) different people hav different definitions,try the vegan society website,that will be more help than i am

Basically they can't eat anything that is derived from an animal. Including things hidden in foods, like geletin and certain E numbers. No dairy products or honey.

as most vegan food is devoid of b12.

i used to get B12 in tablet form from the chemist as seaweed wasnt so tasty
