A question for my fellow vegetarians/vegans?!
A question for my fellow vegetarians/vegans?
There has been alot of negative questions coming from people who obviously have no knowledge about what being a vegetarian/vegan means and are lurking around this forum not to ask serious, legitimate questions of us, but only to attempt to instigate trouble because that is their nature and they have nothing productive to do with their time.
My question is: Why can't we just ignore those inquiries that are a waste of time to even answer in the first place?
No matter how many times we attempt to explain our case or inform them how ignorant they are, this is all a big joke to them and they keep coming back with their moronic iquestions.
It is sad that they are like that, isn't it? We can weed out the undesirables and respond only to questions that have merit.
What say you?

I'd never let it bother me.Doesn't effect my choices or beliefs one bit.
Would be nice to beat them at their own game..LOL

What if the questions that make vegs look bad go unanswered?
Wouldn't alot of casual surfers buy into the propaganda?
There's always a bad apple in every bunch, but most veggers answer the questions very well and without sinking to the questioners' level. This tells people something.
"Would be nice to beat them at their own game."
Their game is in the negative. We have something positive to project.
We've already beat them(they just don't know), we just need to demonstrate it.
Because the fact is a lot of these people made legitimate inquiries on this forum and were attacked because they held views different than yours. Not only did people like you oppose their views about eating meat, but then you had to attack them on a personal level. You crazy veges are the ones trying to force your lifestyle on other people not the other way around.
Maybe you should think about that next time someone who isn't like you asks a serious question on the forum, otherwise you will only breed more contempt for your kind.
No sense in letting it bother you. What's the point of trying to get some John Doe sitting behind his computer to validate your feelings on meat? It's like trying to turn a conservative into a liberal over the computer - it's just not gonna happen so don't waste your time.
I agree with you, it's better left ignored. If people truly get hurt by some person's comment that they don't even know, well, they have bigger problems.
I definitely see your point. There is a much better place to go with no one being mean, and serious people.

I totally agree with AL, a lot of non vegetarians have asked legitimate questions on this board and been attacked.
I asked a question about raising my own beef, out of curiosity since a lot of them were complaining about slaughterhouse practices. I got called a murderer, had my family threatened, and received emails saying I would burn in hell.
So yeah you guys are bringing it on yourselves.
Carrying grudges can become awfully burdensome.
I do typically ignore them, when I can tell they are joking. But, for those of you who know my style, I answer very few questions anyway, about ten a week.
They have every right to continue, as we have every right to ignore them, and to stop spurring them on. Life is too short to hate, or to carry a grudge. Live life to it's fullest, explore the unknown, enjoy every moment, and learn to accept others no matter the differences.
PEACE!!
that's what I do...now at least...and report them...you're right, though. I wish people weren't so stupid, though...doubt that'll happen.
I totally ignore most of those questions, I don't even answer and questions from certain people I don't even bother reading.
I find that most of the trolls are just looking for attention. Probably the kind of people that can't get the attention they want in real life, so they try and get it on the internet. I find it a bit sad, I feel sorry for most of them.
I think the best solution is to ignore them and do not answer thier questions anymore(if it is just trying to stir the pot), or report them.
I agree, lets stick to the "meaty questions" (pardon the pun).
You people need a sense of humour, I'm Vegetarian but have learned not to take myself so seriously.
I'm in!
I agree. I have seen more people answer the stupid troll questions than real questions. There will be 12 answers for a question like "Do vegetarians eat animal crackers", than a question pertaining to the actual lifestyle and diet.
I myself have stopped answering stupid troll questions. I don't see why we all can't ignore these questions. Why continue to fuel these morons?
I see what you're saying, and understand how it frustrates you. But there is the possibility that a seemingly stupid question may be poorly worded. The person may not intend to offend. I have been surprised in the past of how far off base some people are. If I can educate just one person in 20, I feel good about it.
