I found this. Hope it helps.

Of course it's possible, it will be hard but you can adjust. It will be easiest if you do it a little at a time.

Sure....or do you just mean focus on health, whole-grain carbohydrates as opposed to refined? Either way, yes.

Just switch so that all your carbohydrates are coming from whole grains. It won't be any lower calorie or carb level, but at least they will be GOOD for you, instead of the empty calories of highly refined carbs.

To a certain extent as low carb contains your veggie as well as your meat/products. Since your trying to lose weight you should watch the intake of calories vs. the calorie expenditure. If you don't exercise much cut way back on calories. Do the reverse if exercise is a big part of your life. What ever you do talk to your doctor or even better a dietitian as they have had more training in diets than doctors. You need to make things a life-style not just a diet you go on for a month or so. Eat when your HUNGERY not just because you want to. There are a lot of factors to be taken in to consideration - age, activity level, any medical problems, sex[not yes or no] desired weight. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.... as R.S. would say Good night and God bless.

Yes, it is very possible. But, you are right, it is very easy for vegetarians to become overweight due to high carb intake, but if you supply yourself with a variety of foods, you can easily limit how much carbs are in your daily intake.
