Question:

Wat ARE SOME GOOD HEALTHY snacks that i can buy?

sweet or salty healthy snacks. i want something i can eat while watching movies

Answers:
Popcorn with hot sauce or soy parmesan/parmesan cheese on it instead of butter, apple chips, bagels toasted with tomato chunks and olive oil on top (kinda like bagel pizza but healthier), baby carrots, apples and peanut butter, rice cakes with peanut butter, dry cereal.

You can eat Sunchips, Granola bars Or something like that.

Fruit and Veg, all taste great and are good for you. Apples, grapes, oranges, tried dried fruits or nuts. There are a lot of natural produce to choose from without having to buy packaged foods.

There are these products from taiwan, which are dessicated vegetables that tasted really natural and superb!..there are mixes of shitake mushrooms, bittergourd (the best!), swerrt potatoes, long beans ,bananas and etc...

fruit -sweet and healthy

dried fruit and nuts (unsalted of course!!)

Crackers and low fat cheese

rice crackers

popcorn, pistachio nuts, almonds, freshly roasted peanuts, cheese and healthy crackers, fruit

raisins, cranberries, peanuts(in moderation,as they are fattening) celery stalks apple slices with peanut butter spread on them+ pretzels.

What you consider healthy might be different from others. I recall someone asking earlier if a fried chicken sandwich, oreos, and cereal with cow milk was healthy. LOL

I would consider fresh and dried fruit, pref. organic, as a healthy sweet snack. You can also make your own muffins and other baked goods with some whole-grain flour and dates to sweeten them, maybe like carrot muffins with walnuts.

Nuts are a good salty snack. You can also make tofu bites or baked potato fries.

Pirates Booty puffed rice and corn snacks! Soooo good! They sell little bags of it at Jamba Juice =)

Slacker Jacks Recipe

3 ounces popped popcorn, approximately 3 quarts
1 cup salted peanuts
4 ounces unsalted butter
16 ounces dark brown sugar, approximately 2 cups
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Spray a sheet pan with nonstick spray and line with parchment paper. Spray the parchment paper with nonstick spray as well and set aside.

Combine the popcorn and peanuts in a large mixing bowl. Set aside until ready to use.

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla and stir until combined. Heat the mixture until it reaches 250 degrees F, approximately 10 minutes.

Pour the syrup over the popcorn and stir to combine. You will need to work quickly because the syrup hardens rapidly. Spread the mixture onto the prepared sheet pan and bake in the oven for 1 hour. Cool completely.

Break into pieces and serve immediately or store in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days.

Lara Bars - they contain only two or three natural ingredients - they taste good and they don't have any preservatives - they are truly healthy. I recommend the Cashew Cookie flavor. You can but them at Wholefoods and GNC and in most natural food stores
