Shish-kabobs for Memorial weekend?!
Shish-kabobs for Memorial weekend?
Please avatars share your favorite way to prepare this delicious treat on a stick..I like mine to have marinated rib-eye steak as the base with alternating vegies such as bell peppers (ogange and green..pretty colors), mushrooms (freshly picked!), red onions, them little bitty tomato's, fresh pineapple, and for that extra delicacy, jumbo shrimp!. mmmm
..put tin foil on the grill so the juices don't drip away..
ps..some chicken strips if they will fit also compliments, (if you can make the room)...variatey is the spice of life..yes?
have a blessed Memorial weekend!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE KABOBS!!
My favorite way is to use chicken strips marinated in orange marmalade mixed with a dash of curry powder. I alternate pineapple chunks, mandarin orange slices, tri-colored bell peppers, cherry tomato's, and water chestnuts for a bit of crunch. It is colorful, and a most wonderful melding of flavors! Blessed Memorial Weekend to all....
Remember our troops of today...........and yesterday!
Just realized this post is in vegan section............sorry peeps, didn't mean to offend. um, just remove the meat for a good treat!

Please do not insult people and then tell them to have a "blessed" something.
It is tacky.
I love onions, pineapple, roma tomatoes (yes, those are the tiny ones), and bits of venison if I have it. So delicious!
You too, and enjoy the delicious kabobs!
This is the vegetarian section...we dont eat shrimp or rib eye on shish kabobs.
The light flowing from my computer flowing through my retina must be tricking me or is this the vegetarian section?
Ooh, that sounds delicious! I make a delicious dessert kabob--marinate pineapple and papaya in some fruit liqueur or rum (if you want) for an hour, and put it on the stick with bananas and any other tropical fruit you desire. Place the foil on the grill (otherwise the kabobs will burn and/or fall through the grate). Leave them on there just long enough for the fruit to caramelize, and serve these treats over ice cream, with a pina colada, etc.
