Well, it ends well. Too bad Karen Davis can't introduce everyone to her chickens. I have a friend who has a chicken as a pet, and shares her space with a chow. They are great friends. I never knew myself how much personality a chicken really could have. I can understand why it would sound funny to people. Not that many people have spent time around chickens, the closest being a screening of Chicken Run perhaps. I don't think people find it funny or weird to say that a parrot has a personailty simply because they have the ability to mimic. But a birds a birds a bird. You know? People don't want to take the time to get to know the animals that will soon become the food on their plates. A good example being a recent question from someone saying they were an "animal activist" but just can't give up meat because they are to "used to it". These people just want to shut themselves off to reality and the everyday things that happen in order to bring them the convenience and "luxuries" in life. If only everyone would once in their lives take the time to visit a slaughterhouse, a chicken farm, a dairy farm, etc., then they can really look at all sides of it and honestly say I've seen how it works and Im okay with it, or vice versa. It won't happen though of course. "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil." Its an old story, and relates to alot more than the foods we eat. Even I can't stomache watching gory videos of animals being slaughtered. On a regular basis my boyfriend likes to show me all the parasites, worms etc that have come from humans due to consuming meat. I don't want to look, because I know that I did eat meat before and I am sure its still rotting inside of me!! Even I can't face the reality that is life.

i couldn't really concentrate at first cause the man talking kept stuttering. i like the ending though. the way he described the shy and outgoing chickens was cute/funny :) i like how meeting the chickens helped him go veg.
