Do plants feel pain?!

Question:

Do plants feel pain?

try to keep ur answers short as u can thanks

Answers:
They do not have a nervous system. From an evolutionary point of view, pain is useful to animals because it causes them to avoid potentially harmful situations. Thus, animals that can sense pain will survive longer than those that cannot. Plants cannot move to avoid harm, so a sensation of pain would serve no useful purpose for a plant.

No. Even though they're alive and react to external stimuli, they lack the brain and pain receptors that you need to feel pain.

shouldn't think so, they don't have a brain or nervous system

Yes when they slowly die. U feel it to because that make our air. That's less air for us.

no. they dont have a central nervous system. if you stab pig the pig yells and screams. if you stab a plant, it sits there.

Yes. Read "The Secret Life of Plants". It's a scientific exploration into this area.

No.... Not all animals do, either! I don't think ants can - not sure about what else.

many people think no .. but yes.
notice people who talk to their plants .. and people who are very gentle to their plants .. they live longer and are much healthier.

people who have plants inside ... and are in a house that has a lot of anger .. they change. =)

No, they do not have anything like nerves to feel the pain.

I think they do. I read from some science mag when I was in grade school. Scientist had tested indoor green leafy plant of their electoral pulse or some hing and found that they have strong reactions to the person who had burned it's leaf with lighter, which is very similar to a scared person. That means they could feel the burn and react strongly and negatively.
Have you ever heard that some farmer actually play enlighting music to their plants and they growed bigger fruits.
If they could feel the music, they sure can feel the pain.
Try google it.

No.
