What is it called when you only eat fish but you refrain from meats and poultry?!

Question:

What is it called when you only eat fish but you refrain from meats and poultry?

Answers:
¤ Pescatarian: ¤ - Someone who abstains from eating meat and poultry but eats fish.
In other words: A vegetarian that eats fish.

Many people don't believe pescatarians have a right to say they're vegetarian because fishes are animals and animals have flesh. Whatever.

Youre calleda a vegan not a vegeterian a vegan

thats called being a pescovegetarian.

definately not vegan because thats when you cut all animal products out of your diet such as dairy products like milk, yogurt, etc.

Not sure, but it's not a vegetarian or a vegan. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, and poultry. Vegans are vegetarians who abstain from eating or using all animal products, including milk, cheese, other dairy items, eggs, wool, silk, leather, etc.

Commonly called a pescatarian, though "piscavore" is more correct since the suffix -arian denotes more of a lifestyle than just a diet. The term vegetarian would not be correct, since fish are animals, and vegetarians, by the very definition, do not eat animals. But don't strive to be a label - do what you will, be consistent in your beliefs, and if you must use a label, let it be accurate. Good day!

You would be considered a Pesco-Vegetarian. In spite of what some of the veggies may tell you, you can eat fish and be vegetarian. Many of them think that being veggie is like being part of an exclusive club, and they don't want to let folks that eat fish into it. Well, they are just plain wrong. Long Johns sure sounds good right about now.

theres a word for all kinds of meat, non meat eaters. when i applied to work in a kitchen, there was a list of like 10 different kinds of vegetarians. i dont have the list though...sorry

Some people like the term pescatarian, but it is just another made up word(check the dictionary). I have found teenagers like to label themselves this term the most, I guess they want to feel special without actually making a real commitment.

A vegetarian is a person who refrains from eating any meat, poultry and fish.

Never really understood the facination with labeling for every little thing. If I don't eat this or that what can I be called? I refrain from eating sugary food, but eat salty snacks should I find a label for it?

I say call yourself what ever you like. What's the difference.
