Meatless AND Eggless Dressing for Salad?!

Question:

Meatless AND Eggless Dressing for Salad?

I am a pure vegeterian. For salad, which dressing is the best ( that has no meat, no eggs, no fish). Also, let me know a good brand. Thanks in Advance.

Answers:
Annies dressings are probably the best brand name I have found. They have lots of good choices, read the ingredient list. My favorite is probably shitake mushroom vinegrette.

You can also make your own. Take Balsamic or red wine vinegar and mix with olive oil. You can also add cranberry sauce or a tablespoon of fruit jelly.

just eat plain veggies. Dressing will make you FAT

Vinegar and Oil dressing or Lemon Herb vinaigrette....foccacia bread is my favorite!

I absolutely love the Wish Bone Salad Spritzers! Most only have about 1 calorie per spritz and the others only have 2 calories per spritz. The 7 oz bottle dresses 2 times the number of salads as a typical 11 oz bottle of other dressings!

Make your own dressing. Take 1 TBS balsamic vinegar and 2 TBS olive oil. Mix in some herbs, whisk it -- and pour it on. You'll love it!

For variety, add ground red pepper or mustard - et voila! They'll be impressed.

Well, there's not much choices out there. Have you tried mixing oil with vinegar?

Im a carnivore but i'd think that the choice is obvious?! Oil and vinegar dressing.

It's so easy to make your own, and that way you KNOW the ingredients that are in it! A lemon vinaigrette calls for:

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Whisk the mustard and lemon juice together. Whisking constantly, slowly
drizzle in the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Yield: 2/3 cup

or if you want to get fancier:

Greek Salad Dressing

1/2 cup Extra Virgin oil
Salt and pepper to taste1
Fresh lemon squeezed (1/4 cup )
1 t. Dried oregano leaves
1 clove Garlic; minced

Neither of these are very tough and they are excellent!

olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper

I use a blend of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to taste, and some grated ginger root. or for a more italian flare ( I call this "bruschetta dressing") use the olive oil, some vinegar of your choice, salt and pepper to taste, garlic, a couple pieces of sundried tomatoes in oil, and some fresh basil leaves. toss this over your salad and finish with some parmesan cheese, and it is delicious!

Sorry I don't know any brands... but I usually just put....
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Salt
Pepper

Yumm.... :]

hi, try 'Follow your Heart VEGANAISE'. Its egg free, expeller pressed, dairy free, fish free, and it doesn't taste like dirt like other vegetarian Mayo's! You should be able to find it in your local natural food store, if they don't, ask them to get it, because it is so good that you wont use anything else! I bought mine at a store called Mrs. Greens, here in NYC, but I know that they also sell it at Trader Joe's, and at Whole Foods Market, which by the way are two really great markets that cater to people with food allergies and for vegetarians and vegans.
Trader Joe's also has the best Jalepeno Soy Cheese in the world! Good luck with your recipe!

Most Italian dressings qualify.

You might have to find one without chese in it, if you don't eat chese either

by the salad dressings, there are packets of dry ranch dressing mix and dry Italian Dressing mix... You can buy the italian and make it with your own vinegar and oil. It's completely vegan..

Balsamic vinaigrette and ginger dressing are my two favorites.

Paul Newman has a balsamic you can find just about anywhere.
