Is it immoral to date a meat eater?
As we all know, it is immoral to eat meat. However, if I am a vegan and I dated someone who ate meat, would that make me just as bad as him? Would that also make me a murderer?

Everyone has their own opinions regarding meat eating and just because you are a vegan doesn't make someone who eats meat an immoral person or a murderer. Someone who kills animals for sport is a murderer as opposed to someone who kills an animal to feed himself. And no, dating someone who is a meat eater just because you are a vegetarian does not make you a murderer or him one either. He is not an immoral person for liking meat. Trust me, there are people out there who are seriously immoral people, eating meat does not make you a bad person.

There's no right or wrong about this. I know several couples where the guy is a carny and the woman is a veggie or vise versa. The only moral issue about this is does it make you feel bad. If so, then for you personally it's immoral and you should stop, but for others in society to do the same, you cannot condemn them for doing it. It's their choice.

as we dont all know is it immoral? some people can not do with out meat it makes them bad, some people evolve quicker than others there system is not ready to take on alternative foods, maybe after a couple of generations in their family will they be ready people who eat meat should not be classed as a murderer. i dont bother with meat as it is a dangerous food.
Is it immoral to date a vegan? I hope you don't like french fries from some of these places like McDonald's or Burger King. I also hope you don't drink alot of soda or pop you'd be surprised where some of the ingredients come from.

No it isn't wrong as long as: you maintain your morals, he understands and respects your choices, you can date and live in harmony without fighting about food and stuff everyday, and you dont give in to him and eat meat or anything if he pressures you. btw- if he pressures you to eat meat and go against what you believe, he doesnt support you so get rid of him. Also, he should be willing to explain your veganism to his family and friends, and give you total support at get-togethers and such.. good luck!

that is just ridiculous. it shouldn't matter what someone eats. that is their choice. i am a vegetarian and i do not expect anyone that i am in a relationship with, friends with, or related to to follow my lifestyle. that's like not associating with someone because of their religion. you can't go through life like that and expect to get along with people.
I think if you are going to openly pass judgement on all people just because they eat meat then you have already answered your own question. But in the interest of fair thought and expanding horizons look at it this way.
If you can like somebody enough to date them despite thier(for lack of a better word) morals then look at it as a chance to get to know them better and possibly for them to see your side of the story. While your having a good time dating them you might be able to educate them as well. You may open up a few doors for them and you might get a few doors open for your self as well.
You choose to avoid eating meat and TRUST me I truly applaude the strength of your convictions, but I choose to eat meat and though I like and don't see my self stopping I know in my heart I'm a good person. My wife(a former vegetarian) and I love our 13 pets and would lay down our lives for them and a moments notice. I have performed charity work for various causes.
Date whomever you wish and eat how ever you choose, but please, life is too short not to go through it with an open mind.

P.S just so you know, the reason so many of your answers are rather harsh is because you more or less passed judgement on most of the people who would normaly not care what you eat. "as we all know it's immoral to eat meat" Morals are around to keep your self in check not to hurl apon others.
