I have a friend that was once vegan, but she couldn't resist honey, so she just went all out and ate (OMFG), an egg!!!! She was in prison for 48hours and they served her bread with raw veggies. She also got milk with her food! LOL!!! I would like to know a vegan that had gone to prison long enough to find out what they actualy do. But, in the long run I'm sure they would have to adjust their menus to their inmates needs, depeding on the county, state, and country I'm sure.
I doubt if even prison guards get to eat well in there.One way would be to hunger strike and refuse to eat anything until you either die or earn an early release. Another way is we are less dysfunctional and don't normally get locked up as much, except for weed.

It depends on what food agency they have hired to provide the food to the institution. They have a salad bar that they can eat from. Otherwise, there are really no vegan options. No soymilk or anything. They get pop though. So if they want salad bar and I believe fruit, they will be ok.
