Do dogs have souls?

when i look into my pets eyes, i see nothing. I have no problem in beating him. do they have souls? do they have feelings?

Answers:
Not only dogs have souls' atmans but every form of animal has a soul atman within. If we try to understand the crux of life... all would become clear! Starting from the big bang to the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... life is one single journey for our soul atman within. In order to cleanse itself of all the impurities contained within... every soul atman on its cosmic journey manifests a total of 8.4 million manifestations (an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years)!

This cosmic journey starts as an amoeba (single cell formation)... the first manifestation by our soul atman within. It further evolves into multi-cell formation, then insect life, plant life, animal life and finally the form of a human being. One reaches the stage of human beings after crossing 7.3 million manifestations. In the shape of a dog... the soul atman within has not yet reached the 7.3 millionth manifestation!

Our soul atman within manifested the form of an amoeba, insect life, plant life and every form of animal life at some stage. Every human being has crossed the stage of being born a dog! In the cosmic system dog is spelled as God in reverse. And what does that mean? This simply indicates that any human being who has as much divine faith that is expressed by a dog in human beings... makes one reach the stage of enlightenment and finally salvation (moksha).

In the whole cosmic system faith that is expressed by a dog in human beings is without a parallel. It simply is unconditional love. To save the life of the master... many times dogs lay down their life. Such sacrifices in human world are difficult to find. If one truly desires to reach the stage of enlightenment and finally salvation one must emulate the faith that is expressed by a dog in a human being... absolutely unconditional unselfish love! Yes they do, they can feel sad, happy, jealous, excited. Why would you beat your pet....you should be attained.

They have feelings, but no souls.

I believe dogs have souls, as well as cats. If you are routinely beating your dog, by now, you have broken his spirit and he will eventually feel nothing for you. May someone take pity upon your animal and take him away from you. Hopefully any abuse he has suffered by your hand will be able to be reversed with tender loving care from some one else with a soul as you evidently don't have one!!!!!

Haven't you ever seen all dogs go to heaven? That movie was da Bomb, yo.

I believe that animals have souls. Why are you beating your dog in the first place? Animals feel pain too, you know. They can be happy, and sad, just like people can. I hope you realize that beating your pets is animal cruelty and you can go to jail for that! Besides, the more you beat him, the more aggressive he'll become, and the more likely it is that he might bite. Use your brain and stop beating him!

Yes, animals have souls. Therefore your dogs soul will be kicking the s*** out of your soul in the afterlife.

It's called Karma.

nope they have no souls

U sick bastard! I belive they have souls, but no matter if they do or don't, beating them is crul and inhumane! they do have feelings, other wise your dog wouldn't yell when u beat him! your the one w/no soul!!!

I'd love to beat the sh*t out of you, you sick f*ck.

Yes i believe they have souls.I hope you burn in hell you piece of ****, sick god damn bastard,I hope some big fat ****** kicks the **** out OF YOU!YOU MAKE ME SICK.

Not Funny. I bet you will come back as a dog that gets beat in your next life, just for even suggesting it!

i do not think so but they might i would not know i am not a dog

you obviously have a blackend soul, leave the poor dog alone or you will be reported!

Not really. vegetarianism is also a human welfare movement. By eliminating an animal-based diet and eating plant based healthy foods, humans reap many benefits. The following are a few examples. The incidence of heart disease, strokes, and cancer may be reduced by removing meat and dairy from the diet. A plant-based diet requires less resources and produces less waste which leads to a cleaner environment. Instead of raising animals for food and feeding large amounts of grain to them, that grain can be used to feed many starving humans. World hunger problems may be alleviated when we stop cycling grain through animals. So, what do the humans have to lose for animal rights?
Look at this Jain teaching: 'Live and Let Live.' LIVE is human welfare, and LET LIVE is animal rights. They are complimentary. There is an attitude of caring and sharing. This is what vegetarianism includes; sharing this planet with animals and not harming them for human selfishness.

Yes,they have feelings and souls.

I think you need to take a good hard look in the mirror and see what you see in your own eyes. If you can honestly beat an animal and feel nothing, I think it's due to a lack of emotional development in you, not to any lack within an animal. You seem to lack the ability to empathize even with something as simple as pain in another creature.

At the very least, you can easily observe that an animal can feel pain and will try to avoid it. Animals' nervous systems are not that different from ours. They feel pain and hurt the same way we do.

I don't care if dogs have souls any more than I really care whether humans have souls. It is irrelevant to this argument. Dogs can suffer, just like all sentient beings. That they can suffer means they have a right not to suffer if it can be avoided. The same goes for cats, mice, rats, pigs, horses and any creature that is sentient.

I know there are probably a ton of "animal lovers" and "animal rights activists" out there who will be furious with this guy for beating a dog, but then will have no problem consuming a steak, a fish or a glass of milk. I say there is no difference at all. Either you beat the dog or you pay someone to beat the pig your bacon comes from or the cow your milk comes from.

You do not need any animal products to live happy, healthy and satisfied. That means that consuming any animal products at all is causing unnecessary pain and suffering.

The suffering animals experience at the hands of humans is real. It is entirely unnecessary. Make the decision today to abolish animal use and abuse in your own life. GO VEGAN.

Would you want to be beaten?Whether or not they have souls I can't tell you.But they have feelings and can be hurt. The Humane Society rescues animals all the time for misused animals that should tell you It's wrong.Animals need our love and care. And remain loyal to us whether we deserve it or not.
