Is there any good kids vegetarian cookbooks out there?
My daughter is 6 and is interested in being a vegetarian. I see lots of veggie kids cookboods but I want one that doesnt have alot of meat substitutes. She isnt used to tofu and such.

oh my gosh just left her try tofu the hard one!! u can sear it in the pan season as u would meat!!!
it is so so so good for you! the more u eat it the more u will like it! my 3yr. old ate it 1st try now he eats it like once a week n i am sooo not a vegetarian!! good luck
my favorite cookbook is "how it all vegan". a lot of easy and good recipies and most of them don't try to mimic meat. there are a lot of good soy imitation meat products made by boca and tofurkey. they aren't as good for you as tofu but they taste really good.
I never really found one that helped much, actually, but I can tell you what I give my children. Hope this helps:
My kids love simple things like plain yogurt with honey and bananas; sandwiches with cukes, avocados, saurkraut, lettuce on Alvarado St. bread; brown rice noodles cooked with hijiki and topped with soy sauce and olive oil; guacomole with anything; hummus with feta and pita; bean, cheese, and salsa burritos in whole wheat tortillas; ceasar salad with creamy italian dressing; brown rice with lentils or black beans; and of course pizza. They aren't too fond of greens(other than romaine lettuce) which is why it is important they they have some dairy(organic or at least hormone free of course). The most important thing is to make sure that she has plenty of raw foods and not too much dairy.
Meat substitues aren't even that good for you anyway...
