First off, congratulations! :-)(-: If you are becoming a vegetarian for the love of animals, like me, I would also not eat gelatin. Gelatin is animal fat in starbursts, skittles, yogurt, and more. Anyways, I love edimomi, nuts, rice cakes, and more. For lunches I pack PB sandwiches, water, mixed fruit bowls, and some of the stuff I listed earlier. For meals, I buy the frozen veggies at Target or Wal*Mart for like $.77 a bag, and mix them in with noodles or rice, I make cheese pizza, have the meatless burgers/nuggets. There is so much out there to eat, and it all depends on what you like! Good luck! :-)(-:

Everything you eat that is a fruit or vegetable was a living thing once too.
Even cotton clothes come from live cotton plants.
Meat is raised specifically for consumption ask any farmer. They are just animals, food, income, etc.
Don't cut the grass, it is a living thing.
Don't smoke pot, it was a living thing too.
Make your decisions carefully.
Meat had so much protein and nutrients that we need, and you don't need much of it.
People actually only need a serving about once or twice a week.

Everything you eat lived....

Good for you. Just type in "vegetarian recipes" into google and you'll get thousands of them. On of the best sites for recipes though is http://www.theppk.com/recipes/

Don't listen to the trolls. You have made the right decision for your health, the environment and the animals that you will no longer be eating.

Good luck.

just do some research b/c you really should take supplement vitamins at least. its really not heathly to do without protein you get from a beautiful rare steak.

Exactly! Don't listen to those trolls! :) Here is a nice chart that compares protein and other nutrients in meat and veggies.

http://vegweb.com is my favorite site for recipes.
Congratulations on your decision!

I appreciate you becoming a vegetarian. If you are not inclined to eat non-veg anymore, it does not mean you are losing anything or that you have to worry about recipes. There are millions of recipe from which you could choose. In fact, green vegetables and fruits are more than non- veg.You could add more cereals and grains.for example, the Indian vegetarian food is a very well balanced and very tasty.nearly one third of Indians are vegetarians, not that they have any aversion over it,but as simple as some religious restriction.

Plants are living creatures.

They can't even defend themselves, an animal can bite.

veg-cooking.com is a great place to get recipes. Also, Amy's foods (mostly canned and frozen) are all vegatarian and you might check their ingredients because they're delicious!

Errr...... Plants are living things.

go visit your doctor

There's a great, inexpensive Peta cookbook called "The Compassionate Cook." You'll love i!
