Vegans, what should I do?!

Question:

Vegans, what should I do?

Ok, this is another OCD- ish question. And I'm being totally honest.
So there's a dollar store nearby that was going out of business. I decided to go there (since they were having a big sale). I went to go look at the make up- mostly the eyeliner. While I was looking at the eyeliner, I noticed that the mascara was on sale too. I looked at the ingredients and I noticed that stearate was listed as one of the ingredients as well as one or two other animal products. I decided to buy the eyeliner but not the mascara since it had animal products.
Yesterday I noticed that my eyeliner was messed up so I fixed it. I then started worrying if it contained animal products. Then I totally forgot and put all the laundry I had just washed on my bed so I could finish cleaning the room.
Sometimes I still have some eyeliner on when I go to bed because I'm kind of lazy to get a kleenex and clean it all off my face. So now I'm worried that I have to wash all the laundry again and that

I could have animal products all around the room for all I know. I don't know if the eyeliner had animal products.

1.) So should I wash all my laundry again?
2.) Or should I not worry?

I would relax if I were you--It's great that you are so vigilant and excited about the whole vegan thing--But if you get too into it you might burn out--I've seen this happen to others--start small--start cutting out the basics--the obvious things you can change--change--and then add to that--it's about making a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle a natural part of your life-not an unusual fad--so be easy on yourself--you'll get there--you will naturally start making the right changes...And yes--shoping for makeup at the dollar store is not the greatest idea, regardless...

I would not wash your whole laundry, etc...don't make it about doing too many unusual things--because then--when the novelty wears off --you will lose interest in your commitment to this lifestyle--

Good Luck

you are never going to be able to avoid every miniscule amount of animal product. its just the world we live in, sadly. Just do the best that you can and thats all you can do. If you get that stressed out about it, it defeats the purpose of the good healthy thing you are doing. That said, i would not put dollar store reject make-up anywhere near my eye, I'd be more worried about an infection.

Plus, you'll end up doing more harm to the environment by doing all that extra laundry than if you just let it be.

don't worry, and then go shop at The Body Shop.

:) i think you should get some relaxing tea, put the eyeliner down and stop thinkin about that laundry. if the eyeliner has animal products, than you will know that for next time. if it bothers you that much for not knowing, call the manufacturer. have a good night!
