Would You Recomend Becoming A Vegitarian?!

Question:

Would You Recomend Becoming A Vegitarian?

Answers:
Yes.
It's healthier for you, better for the planet, will puts a small dent in the meat industry profit which will slowly but surely lead to a decrease in the demand for meat (less deaths of animals for food,) and leave more food for humans to eat. Plus other positives. Www.GoVeg.com is loaded with information. Check it out if you're really interested.

you could try it.
I tried it for a month.
it doesnt hurt to try.

just make sure you get your protiens... you can get them from:

cheese, milk, yogurt, ice cream, nuts, peanut butter, beans, tofu

um no! Meat is so healthy for you. If you don't like the way they treat animals, reasearch to find free range ones. Please don't. My trainer says your body starts eating it's own muscles due to lack of meat. my friend went to the hospital bc of this. Honest.

I guess, all my friends are, and they have lost some wait by not eating meat and other faty foods, but make sure you get your proteins. They always talk about the food I eat, they say"ewwww Youre eating a poor little animal". It gets kinda annoying...

i would not try it because u need protien and that is what builds muscle

No, I wouldn't. The body needs meat. The animals that are already in factory farms can't be let loose because they have no wildness in them.

yes
there are smart meat out there and smart meat are *fake meat * made out of Tofu and other products
you can get them at Target and asian super markets they tastes like meat but a lil bit more expensive than meat but worth it
you should definity try it

personally i really can't see how vegetarians survive on just vegs. but it seems healthier as long as you don't get crazy and have to start taking pills cause your not getting enough nutrition, but my best friend turned vegetarian 2 years ago and she seems to like it a lot. i;ve personally tried some of her foods and there really good. She even buys veggie meat so i guess your really not missing much if you switch.

Yes, I definitely would. Becoming a vegetarian is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

I will cut through the crud for you right now. Here's what is healthy to eat:

Paleolthic food. This is what the caveman ingested for millions of years before the advent of modern food. Fruits and vegetables are of course altered today, but they still bear a close resemblance to the foods of the past genetically. Other, new and more harmful foods bear no resemblance to foods eaten in the past. The old ones are the ones that your genetics has been founded upon.

Here's what is safe to eat: fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and eggs.

Here's what is unsafe: grains, dairy, refined sugars, beans (and legumes) squashes.

Eating organic foods is a great idea also.

Modern science, with all of its knowledge, cannot create health. One's relationship to one's environment is responsible for that.

Here's what you can expect: feelings of lightness (almost giddiness), improved coordination, a lucid mind, loss of weight, improved creativity, improved eyesight (if you eat carrots), significantly less disease, calmness, better sleep.

The rules of excersize and 8 glasses of water a day still apply.

You know how everybody seems sick these days? Well, one of the biggest reasons is because people eat unnatural foods. Eating paleolithic is the best way to insure one is eating natural foods.

Yes I would totally recommend it. And the people who say that your body will start eating it's own muscle because of lack of meat are so ignorant. There are plenty of other sources to get your protein. Nuts, beans, cheese, tofu, soy milk, and many others!

You feel much better about yourself too, because you know you aren't contributing to the cruel and unnecessary murders of innocent animals.

Also, vegetarians live on average 7 years longer than meat eaters...I think that speaks for itself.

Go for it!

i am a vegetarian^_^

definitely. vegan even.
there is a common misconception that vegetarians and vegans do not get enough protein.
this is entirely false because the majority of foods we eat contain protein.
plus eating meat leads to a lot of bad things happening to you.

if you go vegetarian you will get enough protein
you will be able to eat out with your friends
you will physically feel better, as well as stop the useless torture of hundreds of animals and reduce the toll on the environment to support animal agriculture.

what reason do you have for continuing to be a meat eater?

no no no no! dont i got this dude in my class (im not saying dis in a gay way) but he is good looking and stuff but he's a vegetarian and he's as skinny as hell. so all the girls wanna go out with him if he was fatter and had more muscles but he doesnt have a girlfrend right now because he is as skinny as hell!

Nowadays, choosing to become a vegetarian is pretty much a personal issue - it all depends on the foods you choose to eat in place of meat. Everyone who has answered this question is right to some extent. Yes, you need protein and yes, there are other foods besides meat that have protein.

The problem is finding alternatives to meat that have enough protein and that you can stand to live on. We tend to eat 3 to 4 times more meat (especially red meat) than we need to be and we eat fewer fruits and vegetables than we're suppose to be.

Here's another issue: Technology changes everything. 300 years ago, you couldn't find enough vegetarian protein sources to replace the amount of protein found in meat, at least not cheaply. For example, I think peanuts have something like 6 grams of protein per ounce whereas turkey breast has about 9 grams of protein per ounce. Now let's say you have a wife or husband and 4 kids to feed (which back then, was considered a "small family"). In order to get enough protein for the entire family from non-meat sources (in this example, peanuts), you and the whole family would be spending the day, every day, picking and shelling peanuts. Which would you rather do: spend the whole day picking and shelling peanuts or cook up the turkey you got in the backyard? But now, thanks to the automation and efficiency of technology, we can choose where we get our protein. We can either pick up a turkey breast from the store or buy a jar of peanuts (or a package of tofu or whatever non-meat protein source you prefer).

So don't take either side too strictly. Is meat good for you? Yes. Is meat a good source of protein? Yes. Is it the only source of protein? No - eating meat was a practical means of getting protein because there were very few reasonable alternatives. But now, we can easily afford to eat less meat and go elsewhere for our protein. And protein is protein is protein, regardless of where it comes from.

Another thing to consider is iron. If you decide to go vegetarian, be sure you pick foods that have a decent source of iron.

By the way, a vegetarian who is losing weight because they're a vegetarian is doing something wrong (probably not getting enough protein).

NO! if we weren't meant to eat animals, why are the made of meat?

if u'r worried about ur protein intake, try Yves... their products are faux meat..so u'll still have ur daily recommended protein.
